Drawing Tank is a drawing app for iPhone and iPad by MAABLAB, LLC. Kids draw a creature, and it comes to life in a shared world. Friends and family on the same Wi-Fi can join with a four-digit code or a QR code and add their own creatures, and the world can be mirrored to a TV. It needs no account, shows no ads and collects no personal data.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for or sign in to. Open the app and start drawing.

How do others join my world?

On the host device, start a world and choose to let others join. The app shows a four-digit code and a QR code. On another iPhone or iPad on the same Wi-Fi, open Drawing Tank, choose Join, and scan the QR code or type the code. Devices without the app can scan the QR code to open a drawing page in their browser. All devices must be on the same local network; if joining fails, check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, that the host still has sharing on, and that Local Network permission is allowed for Drawing Tank in Settings.

How do I show the world on a TV?

Use AirPlay screen mirroring from the host iPhone or iPad to an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV, or connect the device to the TV with a video adapter. The world fills the TV while drawing continues on the device.

How do I restore a purchase?

Scene packs are tied to your Apple Account. On a new or reset device, open the scene-pack screen in the app (behind the parental gate) and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.

Does Family Sharing work?

Yes. Scene packs support Family Sharing, so a purchase made by one family member can be used by others in the same Apple Family group once Family Sharing is enabled for purchases. If a shared pack does not appear, use Restore Purchases on that device.

Is my child's drawing stored anywhere?

Drawings and nicknames stay on the devices in the world and are cleared when the world closes. Nothing is uploaded. See the Privacy Policy for details.
